Dear Friend of GLAA:
You are cordially invited to attend a reception benefiting the Gay and Lesbian Activists Alliance of Washington, DC at the home of DC Councilmember Carol Schwartz on September 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Councilmember Schwartz, a longtime friend of the gay community who received GLAA's Distinguished Service Award in April 1999, is graciously opening her home to support GLAA in our mission to secure the equal rights of gay men and lesbians in the District. GLAA is the nation's oldest continuously active gay and lesbian civil rights organization.
Carol Schwartz's home is at 2029 Connecticut Avenue, NW in Washington, DC. Your RSVP is needed to be admitted to the building. Please call 202-667-5139 and leave your name, and the names of your guests.
A minimum contribution of $50 per person will help GLAA continue our 28-year tradition of consistent, fair, well-researched and unwavering advocacy for equality and responsive government on behalf of gay people in DC. I hope to see you there.
Sincerely,
Craig Howell, President
PS: If you are unable to attend this special event, your contribution will still be greatly appreciated and will help GLAA continue our important work.
